Gledhill Vignerons are pleased to advise that the 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon has been very popular among our loyal customers and as a result we are now out of stock in our cellars, the last few cases can still be tasted and purchased through the Sunraysia Cellar Door, and we are currently working on getting our 2015 vintage wine ready for bottling, as well as an exciting new Clare Valley Riesling from the 2016 vintage.
We will keep you posted with updates and availability of the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon and the 2016 Riesling.
The 2015 harvest of the Gledhill Cabernet Sauvignon has been completed on Sunday 16 March. The yield was 10.51 tonnes with flavour and tannin ripeness right where we wanted them.
The fruit was delivered to Belvidere winery first thing Monday morning allowing a bit of skin contact time in transit, and the grapes were crushed into 1 x 5t and 3 x 2t open fermenters. Brendon followed the fruit down to the winery and met John who was ready and waiting to receive the grapes.
Happy with the harvest, John said that “the quality of the grapes is very good and the weather conditions in the lead up to harvest were ideal for a slow and even ripening process.”
Stay tuned for further updates from the 2015 vintage.
Its all systems go in the vineyard at the moment, the vines are growing, the flowers developing and the crop is looking good. A new drip irrigation system is being installed so we can better control the irrigation needs of the vineyard and improve our control over vine regulation to achieve the cropping levels and concentration of flavour and aroma we are looking for in the grape.
Stay posted for further updates from the vineyard.

The 2010 Gledhill Cabernet has recently picked up a bronze medal at the Australian Inland Wine Show held in Swan Hill in September 2014.
In the first showing of the new release wine, the 2010 vintage wine has followed in the footsteps of its older sibling and won a Bronze medal at the prestigious wine show for Inland Australian wines. With a large majority of Australia’s wine grapes coming from the inland regions of Australia, the show is an important one for GV for validation of quality among its local competitors.
The second vintage of Gledhill’s Coomealla Cabernet Sauvignon has just been launched in successful style at a Meet the Winemaker luncheon in Mildura. The Sunraysia Cellar Door celebrated its first birthday with a 4 course luncheon for 40 patrons hosted by GV’s winemaker John Gledhill. The food was skillfully prepared and matched to GV’s wines by local chef Yigal Benchmo, and John provided some insights into the crafting of the family wines.
The day was topped off with a special sneak preview of the ‘Norman’ 2010 Vintage Port which is still maturing away in 300L french oak barrels. The port was a hit among patrons and is displaying superb richness and vibrancy.
